How can I protect myself from false clicks?

Is there anyway of protecting yourself from this? I never click on my own ads, not even by mistake. But, what if you suspect that you might be getting false clicks? I think I got some today, though its very hard to tell. I had 50 clicks today, with around 7,000 hits. Yesterday, was one of my best days with 16 clicks and around the same amount of hits. So, I think it is impossible for it to be that high. I would greatly appreciate any help or advice.

Just send a message to the Adsense support. Usually false clicks are not there but if any, contact Support ASAP.

I figured it out. The banner ads on my site are now for the exact topic from my website. My website is about an album(yes, I created a website about 1 album) and now the banner ads are for that same album.

Yea 50 clicks for 7000 impressions is a good CTR ratio, nothing that would look abnormal if you have a good layout and content matching the ads.

OP, what makes you think you got false click? Like above posts, 50 clicks out of 7000 impressions is normal. Most of the adsense users have CTR less than 1%, just like you.

I thought it was because of the sudden increase of clicks, though the ads had changed to exactly what my site was about. My traffic is decent for a new site, so I am working hard to build up the site and try and get it inside the top 100,000 sites on Alexa.
