How can I promote my website?

I just started my movie trailer website a few days but actually it has not been indexed yet by google though I did submit it over to social bookmarking websites.. Any idea on that? And how to I actually promote that type of website?

you can get the best traffic without google, using viral video and youtube!

One is youtube, second is metacafe.... google favors relevant linking... so comment on dofollow blog which is about videos... and submit to a lot of video streaming sites.....

 

I try the directory submission but link wheel is not? how exactly can it help us to increase our SERP

 

Getting trafic and index by google and search engine are two diffrent thing...
IF you want to index with google...mak XML sitemap and submit through webmaster tool...you be index in next few days.

 

Do lots of directory submission.. specially try demoz
and sumbit atleast one video of recent and popular movie with good keyword at youtube.

 

The best way to promote your site is by doing the social media marketing.Now SMM is becoming more popular . If you want to do your online marketing more effectively then try social media marketing.

 

Don't be lazy! Just print some flyers and hand them out in front of cinemas!
Additional I would create trailers with your watermark and load them up to YouTube and competitors ;-)

Do video submissions to many videos sites and you can also try social media like twitter, facebook and myspace etc.
And submit your site in directory but under the category entertainment or any relevant !

 

Do some advertising in google adwords and facebook advertisement

 

most of the social bookmarking sites are now "nofollow" (Digg just became nofollow, so it won't help you anymore)

consider posting on forums, maybe article marketing, and you can always chip out hundreds of dollars on a press release.

 

I would suggest using youtube for that kind of site.

Take a piece of a movie and then write in the end of the movie wan't to see more? Go to this link for the rest of the movie

Youtube is good for traffic and it's filled with people looking for videos. If your site is good, they'll come back for more.
