Couple ways you can advertise it is SEO Word of Mouth (doesn't just have to be promoted online, to people you know etc) email marketing article publishing media buys (ad networks) social media pages
Create a few videos with some of the "hooks" your auction site has (have there been any crazy low bids accepted? include what was sold and for how little). Then pepper the video engines with them. Make it informative and include a few tips rather than it being just one ad.
