i am working on education portal which is india largest portal for IIT preparation so someone can suggest me how can i promote my directory so that i can more improve my backlinks
Every directory starts with no PR and backlinks right? Do some promotion- buy links, advertise on education specific forums, sponsor some contests etc.
- Create more articles, - Link exchange with other Directories, that's still have related category Links.. - By Paid Review service... ( if you have much of budgets ) - Use Reciprocal Links.. hopefully help you....
HI Find targeted keywords in your site and promote them. Submit your site to the category relevant to your site(Directory ,social site etc). Submit articles. Try to build as much as quality back links you can.
I have built one directory myself and what I did was promoting it in forums that listed directories and linking to it from my higher PR site, so in about a month or two I had PR 1 and then PR 2 and after that the system started to work itself because the site URL was starting to get spread by word (included in forums directory listings)
Hey You can tryout the social network sites and forums. Write more blogs, articles and submit into various bookmarking sites.
Educational? I would suggest proper grammar and punctuation. If I saw an advertisement for an educational site, in which the advertiser failed to do simple things, such as capitalise their "I", I wouldn't bother.
Rent a link from PR5 and above directories for 6 months. I'm sure it will help you in PR within a short time. Don't forget other offpage seo also.
either build links yourself or outsource the project to freelancers.......this will help you get backlinks abd this increase your ranking.........still if you want to start away with these thing then make sure that you need lot more time to get them done and dont expect early ranking within days as it takes months. Taking help with adwords will help you better.......but please dont buy links from hig PR sites.......
