How can I prevent someone from click attacking my ads?

I have a fear that some jerk is going to click my ads 100s of times so I get banned from adsense. Is there any way I can prevent this? Also how can I find out how many times a certain user has clicked my ads?

Notify Google. I did before when one day my earnings skyrocketed though it was not invalid clicks but it was unusual.

If that person has an adsense account then thier ip address is recorded when they log in. Just report this is happening and who you think it is. They can then cross reference the site and ip and they have them cold. Bamn! they are banned instead.

BS you say, maybe I just made it up, but it sounds like it could happen!

If your earnings skyrocket one day and there are no logical explanations (after viewing all the logs) then it is time to inform your paymaster, Google.

Contact Google! Even if you aren't 100% sure the clicks are fraudulent. They are usually quick to respond, and it builds trust between you and google.

Well, once you find out the IP of the user who is click attacking your ads, block the IP from your website. Check your records, and if another IP pops up and is click attacking your website, try using a wild card IP block if it won't affect any of your users from viewing your website.

I just sent an e-mail to the AdSense team because I had unusual high click thru today. I am hoping it is not fraudulent.

I'd check logs etc, and ban the IP rather than remove ads etc, or maybe target ads to avoid their IP? (i think you can do that with phpadsnew in the geotarget setup..)
