On my "surfers" page for every surfer the url bar reads: http://www.surfimages.com/surfer/firstname-lastname example: ( http://www.surfimages.com/surfer/alex-knost ) Now should I remove "surfer" and replace it with "surf-photos" being this is what I want seo to read being I am licensing surf photos? So the new URL would read something like this: http://www.surfimages.com/surf-photos-alex-knost
read the url's: right now they (surfers) read: surfimages..com/surfer/"firstname"-"lastname" on the note that we license "surf photos" would it be better that we removed the word "surfer" in the url and replaced it with "surf-photos"
Because your url says surfimages - i'd suggest - surfimages.com/alex-knost but if you would prefer categorizing it you can leave it - surfimages.com/surfer/alex-knost I dont recommend - surfimages.com/surf-photos-alex-knost
i would suggest that u should use surfimage.com/firstname-lastname u can leave category or if u want to include category make url as surfimage.com/surfer/firstname-lastname.
Best one is surfimage.com/firstname-lastname because surfer is already in use as surf. So there is no need of use that and your site url also will be remain short.
Are you using blogger? If you have used blogger then you can easily optimized your url now before publishing your post by using the custom URL... you are the one that will set your urk... it must contain your main keyword and it must relate to your post title... how about the ideal counts of characters? You can use 70 characters including the dashes... For example - if you have a post title about : How to make money using your facebook fan pages, then you can configure your url like this: yoursitename.com/make-money-using-facebook-fanpages.html I hope this help, and I hope this is what you are looking for
