Hello DP'ers I'm creating a simple checklist document for my visitors to download. In light of monetization, are there any other options available besides uploading.com. Any reviews or recommendations? Cheers and Thanks Mike.
Maybe you need to start placing a gateway page before they are able to download anything from your website. Sign up for CPA networks and put some relevant offers for them to complete.
I understand what your saying but its not what i meant. I should of been more clear in the first post. =) I have a page regarding (niche) and I made a simple excel sheet that users can use and build on. I just want them to be able to download it - thats it. I know I can upload it to my sever and link to it, but I was thinking "why not monetize it."
Well, sites like uploading.com only pay pennies per download. So why not do email or zip submits? You can make more money that way Just my opinion though, sorry if I don't answer your question.
Have a mailing list signup form that they must submit first before downloading the file. That way you can later market to them via your newsletter.
How about docstoc.com? I never used it, but I heard they will pay for sharing your document in their site whenever users browse the document. I couldn't find the exact amount though. If your document is worth for some dollars, you may sign up with paypal and setup buy now button.
