I have no Idea what I can do with this site. http://www.worldofwarcraftimages.co.cc It's in the top 10 of google for "world of warcraft wallpapers" It gets close to 200 people a day. I have adsense on there and a opt in. I either just want to get rid of it or figure something out to actually have it make some sort of money. Oh, It also makes less then a dollar a day on adsense unless it's a good day... Thanks, Dylan
Cool site. Never get rid of traffic you had already build up. Make use of your opt in module and give something away free in exchange for their emails. A wall paper perhaps? Once you have your nameslists you can monetize all you want...The opt in list are the basis in valuing how much your website is worth....It would be a waste to see such an effort goes down the drain....
You should check out competing sites and see how they are monetising. I would also try to draw the users attention more towards your opt-in box. You will need to test this yourself but I would start with a relatively big area of the screen saying something like "Impress Your Friends And Go From Lvl 1 To 80 In Just 6 Days With My FREE guide" Then when the click on this you do a squeeze page. You quickly make a free guide and you monetise your emails with affiliate links to other WoW related things. This will improve your opt-in rate dramatically. Then you can concentrate on making money from your list. Don't let all those visitors go to waste.
I would do a couple things... some that have already been mentioned. 1. Get and give away a WOW guide and build a list of these gamers... that can be a very valuable list. 2. There are tons of clickbank WOW guides so go get banners for them or design your own and put that up instead of Adsense and make sure the banners have a strong call to action... even put an offer after each picture that is post. 3. Research the demographic of who the WOW gamer is and see what CPA offers would match that demographic. It doesn't have to be about WOW but let's say for example that the demo is college kids... Well college kids would be interested in credit card offers... auto insurance possibly... etc... Those are some of my ideas and btw... that is a great looking site! Dan
Thanks everyone so far. I don't have much money at all so I am running the free Getresponse. I tried using the fastIM Optin plugin but I can't seem to get it to work. I also don't know how to set up a landing page. I do believe I know how to put a banner in between posts though so I should give that a try. I would greatly like to build a list and be able to sell to or work with so thanks again! Hopefully I can get this pop up opt in to work
