You could also join Amazon affiliates program and / or ebay affiliates and add hamster related products to your site.
post affiliate banners and links that are related to hamsters. Also, offer some kind of free report on hamsters or something like that, in return for a name and email. In other words start capturing the info of as many of those visitors as possible.Build yourself an email list, and then market related products to them. The least you could do is put up some Adsense on the site, and if you want to make a bit more, sell adspace privately through Adbrite or some other ad space broker.

Can you make a movie about anything? We have some people who upload to our site (see profile) who have small sites under 1000 uniques per day and are making some serious coin making videos and sharing them!
