How can I monetize my adult site?

I have a pretty high traffic adult tube site and am trying to monetize it.

I know that adult sites are hard to monetize but their has to be a way to make money off it with my traffic, right?

It gets about 4k uniques a day (pretty sure, AWstats says so, analytics is confusing)

Regardless, the alexa is about 60k, so that is considered a fairly high traffic site

Right now really all I am doing is using the annoying AdultFriendFinder "IM Box" PPC ads, and so far made 22 cents!

I am also promoting cecash and made a few bucks with free signups, so that is going pretty well, but I need to find a better way to monetize it.

I am kind of looking for a CPM for popup/popunder.

If you can recommend me anything that would be greatly appreciated!!!

If you want the URL, please PM me.

    Thanks

You should ask this on the affiliate section.

Tube sites are the cancer of adult industry. It is not difficult to monetize an adult site if you build a niche specific site with less free porn. But a tube site is hard to monetize. Every newbie who have no clue about the adult industry is starting a tube site now which is really bad for the industry. End of rant.

Now, 4k daily is not enough traffic for a tube sites. Typical conversion from a free porn site could be anywhere from 1:200 to 1:5000 (clicks send to your sponsor) depending upon your niche. Usually tube sites have much lower click through rates though the conversion ratio could be better than a TGP.
My advice would be, if you are new to adult industry don't waste your time with the tube site. You can just let it run as it is. You will end up with big bandwidth bill and less sales. Try building a blog and you will see real money.
Apart from that there is illegal content issue. Some of the biggest tube sites in the industry got their own licensed content. And most of the successful tube sites are not making money directly from the tube site. They filter the traffic and feed it to their money sites.

You want to monetize a site with stolen content on it?

Touche, touche. Well said, I knew that before I got the site.

Yes, the server is expensive and I have yet to turn a profit but that is also because I haven't tried to monetize it yet, I got no ads on it.

Though, if I use popunders that will atleast pay for the server, and ill also try black label ads, etc.

And really, it is not all about profit , I like owning an adult site.

How many people can say "Yeah bro I own a porn site"?

Nope. Not stolen, it is all user submitted like xtube.com

Do you have a license to the content? 2257 docs? Model releases?

Yep, does not apply, does not apply.

The site is in compliance with 2257. There is a compliance statement on the site as well as when a user uploads a vid that is exclusively by them they have to provide identification

Now I know why I never started a adult site.

Sounds like you need a affiliate program.
