All, The site www.soccerengine.net in my signature is now bringing in around 300 visitors per day. I have done much work on it of late because it just isn't generating any money. Surely with this level of traffic I can bring in something. My other site does really well but football is proving to be a difficult niche. Anyone any ideas?
The market is oversaturated, the site looks very busy and confusing, these days nobody would click AdSense. You may want to change the theme of the site or the niche. Create your own product and sell it on your site.
Uncatchy name , bad graphics and content , ofc you're not getting traffic and cash . You can't expect more then 4-5 EUR per day from such a website .
Use 300 x 250 size adsense banners they tend to bring in more clicks. There is something wrong with your theme. 1st of all it looks terrible. I would change it if I were you. And the 728 x 90 ad of 'Watch Live Football' is going out of the post and into the middle column, you better check this too.
I think that you should work again on reconstructing your site and then put everything in a new attractive style. This would even affect the traffic of your site and you should also do some marketing efforts for better monetisation.
I tend to agree with the guys above, make sure you know your site converts decently before you start working on getting traffic (seo or paid) install google website optimizer to track conversion if you are pushing cpa offers
