    howdy again!

i'm really fascinated by this forum.. totally amazing!!:)

my question on the other side was answered instantly and whoow! it helps a lot.

now this might be a simple to most of you but to me its really hard:(

really.. having just online in a year... and no schooling... wew it takes a lot of browsing to learn

how can i integrate an smf forum, noah's classified ads, zencart using Joomla 1.5 content management system?

so that the user will be sign-up only once..

here is whats happening to my site.. users will sign up separately in the smf forum, in the noahs classified and zencart..

i want the user.. and i guess the user wanted too, to just sign-up once and use all the feature of that site with only one user name and log-in..

sites i have seen with two or three features with forum and ads if you sign-up
to the forum you are also automatically signed up to the other feature of the site..

you only sign-up once not like mine.. if you want to be a forum user.. you need to sign-up to the forum..(you are not logged in to all feature of the site) if you want to use noah's classified you need to sign-up in that too..

i hope you could help me on this..

    thank you very much;)

Well, the trick is to kluge as little together as possible. Different systems don't play well with one another.

Fear not though, if your using joomla you can usually find extensions native to joomla itself. Here is a link to some classified ads http://extensions.joomla.org/compon...ch/Itemid,35/searchword,classifieds/cat_id,0/

I will have to hunt down an smf bridge, there is some sort of hoopla going on about the LGPL and use of things inside of Joomla. I was not aware of it until about 30 seconds ago.

    http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,129/Itemid,35/

that is a fairly sound shopping cart solution.

I don't think there is a zencart bridge. I would not advise trying to port zencart into Joomla anyway ;)

hope that helps, I will chime back in when I found out something concrete about SMF.

Better using fireboard component for your forum, I haven't try in joomla 1.5 but in 1.0xx it works great
