Hi, I started a new service called Twitboost.com It is a service where people can buy twitter followers. I am looking for suggestions on the ways of marketing it. Up till now i was running a campaign on Google Adwords but my landing page is not optimized well and it was not fruitful. I have three or four competitors who do the same stuff and i was ranking well in the paid search results but the cost of the click was pretty high and the conversion was nil in the initial testing days. What are the other ways in which this service could be marketed. Here are some of the ways which i thought of but i am not sure which will fetch good results. - Purchase a review on Johnchow.com (At $500 it is pretty costly but it will give good exposure and might even bring a decent ROI) - continue with Google adwords after optimizing the landing page - Purchase banner ads on popular blogs in the tech/twitter niche. {suggestions welcome} One of my competitors made it big and even sold the site on sitepoint. He used only Adwords to promote the site. I can spend up to $500 for the initial marketing. If you have any suggestions do let me know.
Bang out content at first, do $350 content and articles and $150 adwords? Or other methods of advertising?
i think your service is an awful idea. it's all artificial crap that idiots will waste their money on. they're NOT targeted; they're being given a cash incentive. this negates the concept of opt-in.
What makes you think that the followers are not targeted? I have done a month of research and then only brought in the service live. I gathered followers for a web hosting affiliate site and they are seeing better interaction and better conversions. I don't understand what you mean when you say 'cash incentive' and 'opt in'. Don't give out random crappy opinions without knowing what it is.
look, there is money involved, it is not natural and therefore the followers will be worth very little. also, how can you guarantee the numbers that you state? and finally - you did a month's research? a WHOLE month? doesn't seem like a lot to be honest, when you're launching a new service.
First to remove your misconception, I am not going to pay anyone to follow. If you understand the concept of manual reciprocation on twitter then you will understand how this service works. I am charging for the effort which i am putting in on behalf of the account owner/company. WHOLE month? Obviously i didn't devote all my time on this. I tried out building accounts in different niches from scratch and it worked. I also experimented it on the accounts of two of my friends and they did see improved results. This is not rocket science and i don't think there is something extra ordinary which i have to learn. All i had to do was experiment different formats/ways and find the one which works flawlessly.
Ok... that's what you think and not necessarily the world has to think in the same way. So if some one likes my service let them buy it. If they found it valuable they will tell it to others and if they found it to be crappy obviously they are going to bitch about it in public forum. Anyways, thanks for voicing your opinions.
