Hi, How can I use, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter to market websites? I know it's called SMO or SMM (Social Media Optimization or Social Medial Marketing). But does anyone knows and can guide me briefly about these things... I already know SEO... Thanks,
We are talking here about promotion right? THere is lot of social networks and you are able to promote your sites there, Just 1 important thing: Take relationship with ppl which have the same interests only!(If you are carpenter, don't take relationship with person who works in armory etc...) If you own blog, site or ebook about niche which is universal(what can be used/readed by any person IE smoking, pregnancy, cars etc. then you may take relationships with nearly every1 for sure) ;P Hope it was helpfully reply for you,... I can tell you more, I am learning marketing online over 2 years so have some exp. with that. PM me if you are interested in starting new business with an passive income (IF you find any gramar mistakes, don't mind, I am not mature english person
Create a facebook page for your business, then invite your friends. Run special promotions or give away free products to people who invite their friends to join your page. Look for other pages that are related to your business, join and invite members of that group to join your page. Create a twitter account for your business. Put a join Twitter button on your website. Get a twitter widget that can be used on your facebook page. Then just keep making useful tweets.
use data mining technique t check how tweeters will react to your tweets and find targeted people..do the same thing for facebook...tweet the right kin of tweet at the right time for the right kind of people
scrape a few million facebook ids, use a bot to add them to the thousands of accounts you should get and then use them to promote. there are 5 key ways to use an account to promote on facebook
Join groups relevant to your site and form a network - tweeting often about your subject - not just your website.
Wel its called micro-blogging. You can put new updates or news or special features of your website by posting on your twitter profile. Other people read from there and those who like it, reach your site. It gives you a great boost.
Consider that social marketing is done with people and people do not respond at spam. Use a personal approach, put a human face on the profile, develop a relationship before you arvertise. Using boots may not last as long as you might believe. FB usually targets the accounts where the activity is below 2% and the no. of friends added /day is over 50. You should know that Twitter may not ban you for posting only microblogs but FB might. The right way to go is to target your audience, but the audience will never buy your product unless you sell it realistically. Do not brag about it , do not use excessive SEO and consider that social networking is flooded with social marketers. If you plan to do this, make it look REAL - meaning, not just advertising, but comenting, joining groups, socializing... The point is ...prove it you mean it ...and do not spam.
I joined several groups related to my niche on Facebook. Altogether there are 3-4k members of those groups (not necessarily unique, of course.) I just post a status update on each group's wall, and attach a link, when I post a blog entry or update a site page I think they will respond to. I get quite a few visitors this way.
There are several ways, and here are a few: (1) Start a fan page for your business, and invite people to become your fans. Post good, useful content on your fan page, just like you should be doing on your blog. If you have an existing list, promote your fan page using your list! (2) Join groups related to your niche on Facebook, and promote your products, web sites, and fan page within the groups. Post some good, useful content to the group. Remember, whenever you make a wall post to a group, it shows up on the news page of every group member (unless they've hidden the group, of course). (3) Create a new group on Facebook, post some good content to the group, then promote your new group using existing groups that are related to the same niche. CONTENT IS KING! Good content provides value to people... If you're the one providing the good content, you raise your credibility and begin to gain the trust of the people who read your content.
you got to be real and provide useful information that you hope other users will spread, build relationships and respect so people are likely to come to you when looking for advice on something you specialize in. The good thing is that you can search & find the people who are into your product. The search facility is probably one of the most powerful tools followed by 2-way communication. Facebook also has numerous apps to help. Unfortunately there is no "sure fire" way of marketing on these platforms...I guess that's why the end user like them so much
Do microblogs about your site in twitter and bookmark your links in facebook. You can put new updates or news or special features of your website by posting on your twitter profile. Other people read from there and those who like it, reach your site. It gives you a great boost.
