If yours is a new site and not a niche blog, then i would advise you to use article marketing. Write up to 8 articles and submit it to article directories, this can draw some good amount of traffic. If you have atleast a small budget buy adwords ads, this can generate up to 2000 views per day then you can reinvest your income and build your traffic.

Craigslist is the best place to market this. You have no idea how many leads I get from craigslist everyday from the jobs and housing section. Check out my signature.

Alternatively, you can find resume sites and pick out emails and mail them all. Should work great if your revenue source is adsense

good ideas above, plus hardwork, plenty of patience, and you might just make it :)

Just tried your site and it timed out? Dunno if you've got a problem :(

I agree craigslist would be the best place to advertise jobs in turn you will see a lot of traffic. There are many more avenues to advertise and get noticed.. Lately I have been playing around with 7search

Very, inexpensive, create a facebook fan page, and then friend, friend, friend, and then occasionally post really interesting things about jobs and hiring. Direct people to your fan page from your posts. Then on the fan page you can use it as the first page of your site, that drives them to your actual site. Or you can get written up in time magazine. A little harder to do, but also free. :)

Go to http://ping.fm sign up for all the free sites and you can bookmark your page with Ping.fm it will send to all the social bookmarking sites. You have to build some kind of following on the bookmarking sites to get noticed. You could do the same with Onlywire.com This is more of a backlinking method but works none the less.

Do some keyword research and write keyword rich articles and submit them to all article directories. Then use Free Traffic System to post all your articles to blogs with one click. This should make for good traffic and back links. Also make some videos and post them on youtube. Create a short report with links in and give it away for free. YOur traffic should build virally.

There are many other ways, you can find them in my free guides in my signature. Just download them from there. Good luck.

yes it can be very time consuming to look for all the available sources out there. Also it is very frustrating. Social networking, forums, classifieds, blogs, articles.....there is much to choose from. Get all u need in one spot. http://adlist.yolasite.com

Job listing sites are very difficult with a limited budget. If you can come up with the money, run print ads in a major city for a period of time and expand out from there.

Forget about the article marketing that others are talking about. I don't have much confidence that they will help a site like this.

You will have great difficulty marketing a jobs website without a strong TV, Radio, and Direct mail budget. You may want to start with inexpensive article marketing, Adwords (PPC), and Email campaigns before investing a large marketing budget into your industry as a startup job site. My $0.02

    Hi Karistana,

I recommend using all Free traffic generating techniques but to begin with,
concentrate on building a list of subscribers who are genuinely interested in your niche.

Do this by providing an opt-in form at your website or use a squeeze page to capture email addresses. Provide the incentive to sign up to your list by giving something of real value away for Free, like an eBook. In your case something like '50 tips to finding your ideal job'.

You will find that this technique will build your list and offer a solid base to promote your website. Plus you also know that the people on your list will be targeted traffic (jobseekers), genuinely interested in your website, because they have already shown an interest in your Free Gift. :)

agreed on free submissions. If you are just starting your site and for sure you don't have enough budget , then you can start promoting your site to a site who is offering free charge.

If I only had a small amount of money and wanted to make a website soar I would leverage social media. You could potentially do it for free, but if I had $100 I would try and create 1 great piece of content and push it out on all of the social sites. If I had $250 I would try and create 2 great pieces of content and if I had $500 I would create 4 pieces. The overall goal would be to get these articles thousands of unique visitors and thousands of links so that the site could get some search love.

I started off with a limited budget. In the beginning I did article marketing, optimized my pages and posted articles regularly on my site. As income begin to come in since I had other income form my job I took evert thing I made off my site and put it back in to the site. Over time I bargain to make a profit but never stopped putting money back in to my site.

Links are the most important things.. good quality links. The more the better. Start guest posting, article marketing, and building your links through every free and relevant source you can find.
