    Doesnt really help very much does it?

    It is produced by the cloud tool on photoshop, it is a nice little tool aswell, for instance if you was to change the primary and secondary colours (in this case black and white) to red and yellow and used clouds it would give you a fire/flame effect. If you do not get the desired tone try pressing CTRL & L to adjust the levels to adjust it to how you want it to look.
