How can I make Pop-Ups?

Hi,

I've been searching for at least an hour now to find a script/code which lets me add a Pop-Up to my site like the one over at this site (http://www.johnchow.com/). I want the same effect where its similar to lightbox but to automatically open up when the page is visited. I just don't know where to look anymore :/

Have you tried a programmer?

If it is too expensive for you, try a college student.

If you have ever been to SitePoint, they have a pop up. But it comes up slowly, from the bottom.

You probably seen it.

 

it's going to get blocked my the browser anyway unless you pay for a good programmer and no one likes pop ups I think 1:1000 people will actually look at a pop up.

It's a wordpress plugin and makes everything simple. There's a free version, but even the upgraded version is only $20 or so.

Or, if you already use Aweber for your email management, you can create your opt-in forms in pop-up boxes through their interface. Then just add the Javascript code to your site.

I'm not looking to use it for Wordpress. I just want a simple LightBox Pop-Up the moment the page is visited, the only thing I have so far is for the Lightbox Pop-Up to appear when a link is clicked, but I want it to auto-load on pagevisit.

Just so you know, Its unblockable. The LightBox Pop-Up does not open a new window, therefore your browser wouldn't detect it, come back when you know what I'm talking about because your post is useless as you are.

i hate pop-ups..........and thus many of them
