How Can I Make My Directory Better?

    Hello everyone,

    Im looking for some serious suggestions to improve my web directory.
    Im a webdesigner and have been coding for a while now, but I am new to the directory field. If there is one (or more) ways for me to improve my site, what would it be.

    im not scared of honest opinions!

    I guess your first order of business would be to put the original designers link back in the footer.

    had an issue with the footer the whole day, the date shouldnt even be down there. thank you for bringing that to my attention.

    I agree with Nima. Perhaps you might have the google ads on inner pages but not on the home page. Just a suggestion. I do see many directories with google ads on the home page and I suppose it is a personal preference. Overall though I do like your directory and noticed that you have some really good categories as well. Just keep working on getting good quality backlinks and dont let the pending url build up too high

    First you should buy a domain for directory and then you should get directory software i suggest you two systems
    1.) phplinkdirectory
    2.) skalinks link directory.

    Both of them very powerfull and easy to use interfases. But phplinkdirectory is not free.
    After that you should promote your directory with dp, other forums and add your directory to other directories.

    Not really, phplinkdirectory is free for version 2.0. You only have to pay if you want higher version or want to remove footer link back to phpld.
    Have not tried skalinks, but I like phplinkdirectory a lot . :)

    Don't spend too much time on your design.
    Spend more time marketing/promotion./submission to directories. :)

    Bring links to it make it more powerfull in link popularity and PR that all is what counts at a directory

    thanks, i totally agree,...im so hesitant to put ads on this..especially the home page...i think i will remove it. thanks for the the comments
