You will be surprised what works - there is no formula, but there are guidelines to choose a product. Choose something that you like- check out if it works (write to the provider that you intend to promote his product and ask for a free copy, find out too if they get back to you in the timeframe promised) and then promote it if it satisfies you. In this process you will not only learn a lot and work your way through the jungle. If you look for a quick fix with little work, I am not sure you are looking in the right place. Be prepared to put in hard work. - And don't give up! Keep going!

Just do what every body else is doing. Is it just me or does everyone want to get rich by doing next to nothing. There must be some magical way to just post a question in an open forum and expect some "secret" tip on how to just make the cash roll in.

Getting more traffic is not special to clickbank, affiliate products, or any business website. The lack of it is the number one killer of most new start ups. It sounds like you don't have a web traffic plan, and you need one if you expect to make any money at all. Just slapping up articles, as suggested won't work. Just promoting someone else product as suggested above won't work. Just picking something you like won't work either. Try and test yourself won't work, that's why you don't have enough traffic, you haven't spent the time mastering any traffic method. Just do what everybody else is doing won't work. 98% are failing. So that is the worst recommendation of them all. To get things going you need to decide which traffic methods you are going to focus on. There are at least 20 or more. You need to master at least three. Built into mastering any traffic system is also mastering the basics like keyword research. Though once you have it mastered, it is easy ... if you haven't taken the time to learn, then it will be difficult forever. So no one can answer your broad question. You have to do some work first. Ok, first get a website, or blog whatever you want. Then you need to make a store, have different types of clickbanks products listed all having your affiliate id embedded. On ClickBank there is something called AdHop Builder, if I was you I will do that as well, just to post more clickbank ads to the side of your site, don't use adsense because they only pay you cents, with Ad Hop if you get a sale you will get that commission. But any way, Make a good website with different products, start advertising, paid and non-paid. You might not get any sales for the first couple of days but then again you never know. Also try and get your name out in the open, try to get on Google, Yahoo, MSN, Dogpile, AOL, Lycos, try and get your name known, so if you write a blog about a product, and someone looks up your name it will show. But keep trying and you will be successful.
You have to get people to opt-in to your list. Just two weeks ago, I was able to make a few thousand dollars with one email that was sent automatically. The bigger the list, then the more money that you will make. Don't just direct people from your site to an affiliate sales page. You need to build a relationship with potential buyers. Simply writing reviews and then linking to sales page will not help build enough trust to make a purchase.
