It's hard even when you have traffic. My previous site was getting 40K of hits a month and still not earning anything. I know when I go to a site with ads on it I rarely click any of them as I am interested in reading the content of the page. How do we get the reader (myself included) to click the ads? I dont want to trick someone into clicking because then they will get pissed and not come back to my site.
its simple, just drive targeted traffic to your website, then have good placement for your adds, if you have these two you will make alot of money, if you dont you will fail with adsense
Simple really. Have a lot of good content. Get traffic. Good ad placement and SEO. More traffic, and....more traffic. Don't forget to build links, too!
To get targeted traffic, you need more content and inbound links to your website. Do that and you'll start to make money with AdSense. Good luck!
w3bmaster & Koronko is correct! Traffic = $$$ Having "Little" Information and Too Many Links = Bad PR = $0.00 Having "Relevant" Information with Only 2-3 Links.....well , Leaves the reader with no where else to go except where You Direct them to Go! **Try a 3 Paragraph page on the subject of you're choice wrapped around a 250x250 Square google adsense Image! The adsense will adapt to the paragraph..... and Walah!!!! Click!-Click! Try: Tiny.cc/Google101
You have to have a good content, generate traffic, and a good offsite and onsite SEO. Having said that you need to get more backlinks from high PR sites and start commenting on blogs related to your niche. You may also like to look into the high paying niches as they can quickly make you more adsense amoney. Thanks JulieV
You need to be starting investing in SEO . but before you do this, use google trends to check the traffic you will have for the particular keywords that you desire. Adsense is a great thing but there are some investments to be done , especially hard work Good luck
At first when I started adsense, I focused at making contents. But it seemed no one visited my web. Then I started promoting by submitting url to web directories. Later, the visitors increased. So I would suggest not only to make content, but also to promote your web. After you get your visitors, don't forget to tweak your ads to get more CTR. Success!!
I just made my ***1st cent*** from a blog (www.f3mind.blogspot.com) I made about 2-3 weeks ago. Even though the monetary value is insignificant, the emotional thrill is still exhilarating! But after I have done some calculation, doubts start to emerge. Ideally, say if my blog draws 2000 visitors/day (nowhere close right now because I am still experimenting), with a CTR at 2%, I will make... hummm... 40 cents/day... So let says my goal is to make $30/day and say I can somehow draw targeted audience (CTR = 4%), I will need 75,000 visitors/day. Is it a realistic goal for someone who has a full time day job? And how much time am I expected to spend to keep maintain the site with such revenue? If okay to ask, how many of you guru can consistently make $30/day or over?
There are tons of threads like yours already posted here... you can read through the past ones of people asking exactly the same question. But as others have already said, it involves hard work and patience: 1) Write quality content - try writing one 400 word or longer article a day for your blog 2) Get tons of good backlinks to your site (PR4 or higher is best) 3) Work on ad placement to get the highest CTR (follow the suggestions of many here for these) By following those three steps you should start to see some good results (in a couple of months, most likely)
Thank you all for the great info!! Would people most likely think where my ads are at right now are not so much in a good spot? http://jbmedia2.blogspot.com If so, where would suggest me placing them around? I'm completely new so I'm sorry for all the newbie questions. I do appreciate all the info a lot though
Lol, thanks for that one.. any other useful information I could possibly use to help my AdSense earnings?
Just put some funny/interesting pictures on your blog then submit those posts to reddit in the pics section. That will pull some traffic and if your ads are set up right can also bring in some money.
