Hi, I did Twitter PPC using RevTwt for 38 days starting from 1st August 2009. I made $60.82, my target was to reach $20 a day however it didn't happen and RevTwt's CPC dropped along with their ads. So I scrapped it, I still have 1000 followers per account (10 accounts). Is there anything I can do to make a profit from my Twitter? Many thanks.

It's really strange that you don't talk about sponsored tweet...which is certainly better than rvtwt.... at least you can fix the price you charge to advertisers for tweeting their ads.
The problem revisitors, is that there are a lot of spammer on twitter... I mean follow that are supposed to follow you and to interact with you. But will never click on your sponsored ads or any of your url because in fact they do not follow you, they might even unfollow you. Building an effective twitter list require some time. First you shouldn't post more than one sponsored tweet every 10 normal tweets. At least, I never click on people sponsored tweet when they looks spammy. You know, there a lot of a people aware about making money with twitter, and they might also use the same program as you do, so when they see ads, they might understand it's a sponsored ads and won't waste their time to click on the links just for the purpose of making you earn some commission. That's why I think you shouldn't tweet many sponsored tweets.
I use Twitter to drive traffic to my blog and promote other sites. So, I make money indirectly using twitter. Its a great source of traffic. As for a means to make money, you have to remember that if you market your product alot using your tweets = SPAM. People will unfollow you quickly. So, keep your tweets about other things. Jokes, common things that you do through out your day, fun facts...then about every 10-15 tweets throw in a plug for your product/site. Then go back to the regular tweets. I tweet alot, all day on some days...Also build up a following, and follow other tweeters that are in your niche and network. They will Re-Tweet your posts and you can Re-Tweet theirs...remember to ask for Re-Tweets...no one just gives them to you because they like you.

Building up a reputation on different sites take time. But the time that you spend getting the noteriety that you desire is well worth it. Just remember do not spam that goes for forums and twitter. As time goes by you will gain followers on twitter then you can share your knowledge and get more and more people to join in on your program. It does work, but you have to work it. Remember that marketing is an never ending learning process.
Anybody who uses sponsored tweets on their personal account is a total sellout in my opinion. If you're going to use it on a fake profile, that's fine. But on your legitimate business account? What a dick. I don't agree with any kind of sponsored content on my blog, Twitter or anything that's getting published under the name of my brand. There's gotta be some value to your word. Anyway, there's a ton of ways you can make good bank on Twitter. Generally, if people are doing it, there's money being made behind it. Just try a Twitter search of "online dating" for example.
Most of us make persons who follow you. You may have 1000 followers. But how many of them are the real followers and not the spammers - may be 20 ?. That is not enough to generate any traffic to you. I dont think twitter is an effective tool unless you are a celebrity.
