just a quick thought on how to position yourself: as others have pointed out, you are competing with tons of super-cheap writers from the far-East. (and yes, personal experience tells me most are rubbish). There are plenty of writers (mostly US based) who command $20+ fees for the same length article someone from the far-East is flogging for $2-$5. The difference is in the quality. So: create a portfolio of absolutely "knock them off their feet" content, original, well written (forget about academic style writing, almost everybody wants conversational tone) and make sure it follows a structure that compels people to take action when finishing the article, i.e. it's a "greased slide" towards going to the target URL and doing something. If you can demonstrate that you understand the real reason for articles (ok, in addition to SEO purposes) and that your articles help drive human traffic to URLs, then you can command a premium. competing on price is never fun Veit

if you are a good writer and expert on something you can have your own blog , drive traffic there and make money. It takes little bit of time and patient but once you get going you can keep on earning.
