How can I make googlebot visit a page?

Is there any way that I can try to tempt the googlebot to visit a page? Not necessarily one I own. High traffic sites tend to get frequent visits. Is there any way to tell google to go and visit a site/page 'cos its changed?

Get links to it on frequently indexed pages

 

if it's not yours, you just probably need to wait
or to you could try to add a heavy link to the page, but why would you do so if it's not yours?

Include it in a sitemap. Submit your sitemap to Google.

 

Whenever I need some site or page to be indexed quickly i just do two things- put sign on few forums and do some social bookmarking and its done.

 

if its a wp blog it will have an option of pinging google which will help index your site quicker

my site seems to be constantly being hit by google if you give me $5 i will put a link on my site it will probably have googlebot in the online users bit at the bottom

Add links to the site on your signature here at DP and other popular forums. This is one of the fastest ways to get it noticed by Google. You can also use Stumble Upon and other social bookmarking sites.

 

That's correctly said, add the site as a signature in DP and participate in the discussion, your site will automatically get some backlinks.

You could always try submitting the page to Google itself.
