Hey, The basics of making a niche site is largely the same as the basics for making any site. I think you may be a little confused as to what a niche is and how it can affect eCPM rates. A niche is simply a small group of people that are interested in a specific thing. So if you have a website about a specific car like the Subaru WRX STI, that would be your niche group. Since everyone on your site is interested in the same thing (Subaru WRX STI cars), you have a specific target market for advertisers. If you contact a auto-parts dealer, they would be much more interested in advertising on a site that is dedicated to cars, as opposed to advertising on random sites. In this sense, your CPM rates can be higher, since you are offering specific targeting to that niche group. As for how you can create a niche website, well you should first try searching google and learn how to make a normal website. Since a niche is just a website targeted toward a specific group of people, it just depends on what kind of what site you want to make. No one can tell you how to make a targeted niche website. There is no special formula. It is a creative business.
lot of thanks njfail.....you really helped me to remove my misconception about niches...and yes my frend i do know about creating a simple site.....but i know creating a sub-domain site ...just like i have webpages on weebly .com so my site address is>>> www.example.weebly.com i dont have site like "dot com" or "dot net "etc so my further question is that can i build niche website as sub-domain site??
Yes you can build a niche site on weebly. If your hopes are to monetize the site someday, I would not recommend it though. I would only recommend starting out with the weebly site if you're looking to save costs. You can get an idea whether people are interested in your site or not. If your site does well, you'll outgrow the freehosting. In which case, you'll need paid hosting (not sure if weebly offers better paid options). A simple shared host plan can be anywhere from $3-7 per month, depending on what company you go with and if you prepay for a subscription. I would also recommend getting a domain name at this point (a "dot com" or "dot net" etc), which will cost about $10-15 per year. I followed the steps that I outlined above when I first started making websites (did not use a free host or WYSIWYG though). I started off with JustHost (shared hosting), and moved to WiredTree (dedicated sever) when my site outgrew the shared server. I also got my domain from NameCheap. Those are just the companies that I went with. There are plenty of options for you to look at out there.
well again lot of thanks my frend.....you really really helped me here....i would follow your step...just one more thing my frend if i own a "dot com" website and also have share hosted site then please tell me what type of content of my webiste should be so that more n mopre visitors can come to my webiste and i can earn reasonable income from it?
So you want me to tell you how to pay a little money making a site and have it make a bunch of money back? Well I could tell you this... But I would have to charge you! Or you could think of you're own ideas..
You need to choose niche that you like then you build site about that niche. If you want to build site for free, you can use blogspot or free hosting. The best way you pay hosting package and domain. It sounds more professional and seriously.
Building multiple niche sites is not a good idea. I have one niche websites, which weren't doing very well money-wise but were ranked highly on Google until this month. They just tanked because of the recent Google update, I don't know what to do with them now. Niche sites would only work now if you use marketing tactics other than SEO.
