    HI,

I run a small office . I have 4 PC's connected to Internet via a Router and at least there are 3 people who use DP forums from different systems. In fact the three accounts are also used from various other IP's after the Office hours and at different days .

Never have they been used together in a single thread (Not sure about normal discussions, but never in sensitive areas like Buy and Sell)

Can some one tell me if there is a section in DP where i can inform a Moderator about this, so that i wont get any of the accounts banned.

I did that a long time ago. I sent a few of them PM but there was no response from them. If there is a place just like that confession box in Church(sorry i don't know the name :) )
We can put there our list of co-worker's/Friend's ID's which can be used later as a reference, probably during a ban:)

DP must understand this as many times it happens that almost all the family members use one pc.

Just imagine if there are 3-4 people using the same system then how is it possible that their ip differs and how come they use the same id.

so it must allow users to do so

Yes you are right... Even at my home they use it.

But no one else uses DP from my PC.

Generally not everyone in a family uses DP. Only one person uses it or in very few cases more people use it.

Yes, I never worried about this problem. I came to this thread to post a different topic and then saw several people weeping and crying to get their accounts back (in many cases they are proved by admins to be as spammers)

So thought of saving myself. Can any of the moderators comment on this thread?

( I did a search and then posted this. If you find this to be a redundant question please ignore)

I'm not a mod in this forum, but you can look at a few threads on the topic and verify that IPs alone are not the only way of identifying dup IDs. You responded to one of the threads, so you're familiar with a few of the other means. An ip match is a red flag, but there are other ways to verify whether or not it's the same person.

There are also plenty of dup IDs identified even though the user scrupulously employed proxies to mask the duplication... So IPs are just not the whole ballgame. Puppet shows are pretty easy to identify... In forums I moderate I see them reported by members that don't even have access to IP checks. Dup ID users are, fortunately for mods, usually pretty stupid. It doesn't take a brain surgeon or a ton of technology to spot most such acts.

If you've notified mods of the user IDs at the same location, and have not provided reason for them to believe the IDs really are the same guy, and you all observe the aforementioned guidelines about staying out of the same threads n such you should be ok.

Just remember... the first time guy1 from your IP starts making glowing third party endorsements for the site in the sig of guy2 at the IP... every ID at that IP is likely to lose a login. I'd bend over backwards to avoid the appearance of collusion between the IDs, just to stay on the safe side. Good luck. :)

Send me a PM with the list of DP IDs and I will make note in member's files.

As other's indicated, do not participate in each other's threads, share itrader, or rep.
