Hi there, Sorry to be posting yet another thread about being unable to rank well in Yahoo's search engine, but would appreciate any kind of help. Basically I have some sites that rank quite well in Google, but these sites don't seem to appear anywhere near the top results in Yahoo. I'm just wondering, how can I learn how to optimise my website for Yahoo? Is there any kind of guide I can read, or any information about the Yahoo search engine algorithm? I've tried searching for information at the search engines but most results are articles that are about 2 years old - and I just don't think they contain any of the latest up to date info... Thanks for any help.
It is too easy. Do some optomised pages, say about your best six keywords. Then do a direcy submission with these deep links. Make sure metatags are good. Should do the trick. Or else register a key word stuffed domain name. Both work The latter is more effective, and it takes about 8 weeks to rank incidentally
On Yahoo onsite seo is very important. Optimize your title, description, content to fit your keywords. If you have enough money for the Yahoo dir - submit.
Do you know how much it costs to submit to Yahoo directories? Is it a bit like the DMOZ site? Thanks for the help so far
Don't listen to Peon's like Henry Wi. Listen to someone who knows what they are talking about. Forget Yahoo. Try to move up in Google and take anything that happens with Yahoo as a bonus.
Yahoo is a viable search engine and I will tell you quite simply how to get Yahoo to start to notice you since I feel nice. Post inner links and links of your website through Yahoo Answers = Easy Inclusion to SE and powerful SERPS+Traffic. Would appreciate some rep since this will help you
My friend has a non adult website and has been trying to get into dmoz for the past 3 years with no luck. Yahoo costs about $200 a year in their directory listing. It's pricey but I think it's worth it!
