I heard that google does not consider no follow links for pagerank and website search rankings. I dont know how we know a site do follow or no follow?
There is a firefox plugin you can install that will hilight all dofollow links in blue. It's called nodofollow or something like that. Alternately, if you want to do it the hard way, just view source and see if the links specify nofollow.
You can also use this ff plug in too. It will highlight all nofollow links plus you view other data as well. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/321
Either check the source code, if found rel=nofollow, then it is nofollow, else it will be dofollow Or suggest to use Firefox addon - seachstatus which will highlight the nofollow
Two ways to know dofollow or nofollow sites, one is to install addons if you are using firefox to check nofollow link highlighted by red background and second one to open view source and find out the "nofollow" word.
simply make right click on the link and see the properties of that particular link. If you see relation : NoFollow then it would be Nofollow link and if nothing is mentioned then it would be dofollow link. hope this will help you out...
You can check the website's source for "rel=nofollow" word for nofollow websites. The easy way is to use firefox plugin to check the websites easily. Nofollow has its own count to google, the best is you have balance between nofollow and dofollow.
I've seen some sites where a link appears to be dofollow but it's not. For example, you register at a blog or forum. When you post a comment, there's a dofollow link that says "your keyword", but it doesn't go to your site. Instead it goes to your profile page on their website. The link from your profile page to your site turns out to be nofollow.
Most of forums or blogs use nofollow links. They don't want to give you any PR or to help you grow in Google. I use Quirk SearchStatus plugin for Firefox and I'm very proud of it. I recommend it to you
