How can I index my directory pages? At the moment there are only 5 indexed pages.I submit articles to my direcotyr and want them to get indexed thats why I am asking.I have stumbled and digged them but it hasnt worked.
Id like to know too, because people say its because of no content, but i know that thats not true, because the differences between each of my directories tell me that. One of my directories with more content than the others has the least amount of indexed pages, is nicely penalised and stripped of pr etc etc but that directory was mentioned here so if i didn't mention it here i believe it would still have pr, not be penalised and have more indexed pages. Do you agree? So i wont say get content or backlinks as it may not help at all with more pages being indexed, even internal backlinks may not help.
What's the name of the directory, Ill take a look at it for you and let you know if there's something preventing you getting indexed.

I just did a site check and it looks like your slowly getting indexed. I sent you details via p.m. Check that the sitemap you are using isn't looping as this can cause google to bypass you.
Build links to the inner pages. Don't let google do all the crawling around. Direct the googlebot otherwise he may get lost and leave your site. Ensure you have an excellent inner linking structure - how many pages can googlebot get to from every page on your site? When it reaches a detail page is that the end of the line? Or can it reach other pages from there? Pipes posting your directory on DP has nothing to do with the penalty itself. If google found your directory from posting on DP you simply let them find you quicker. They won't give you a penalty from posting on DP but it probably raised their awareness and they'll have found it and reviewed it much faster when compared with "staying under the radar" as some have mentioned. Watch Shoemoney's video on Robs signature. If you don't make google look stupid they won't penalise you. And yeah pipes, like all the other directories that have the SERP penalty - your indexed pages and PR have been cut due to that, nothing else. You can add more content than wikipedia and it won't budge much. And yes, I did experiment, I'm not just writing bullshit to pad my posts.
As mikey says build additional links including deep links to your site. pipes - you have an option of begging google for forgiveness with a reinclusion request...
How can i request a reinclusion when i dont know whats wrong? and doesn't that make me guilty of something im unaware of? Also i haven't done the things that some people did like dodgy redirects and being part of an inner ring.
Announcement time, about 2 months ago i was provided some information about how the damage was really done here and the person supplied info to someone else bragging about what they had done, they are still here, its a small group and i think you will find out for yourself soon. I know how the detailed information will come out aswell, its a pity as i cant do anything about one of my main directories, because the information that would really help me is what google can tell but understandably they keep quiet. You all will find out what happend because i know how it will all spill out, i just dont know exactly when but i believe one person will provide more information than even im expecting them to share, its shocking me already but its one of the reasons ive stuck around here. Pipes until we know the directory that was penalised we can't offer our advice or perhaps give you some pointers on what went wrong.
swedal, i dont want any true involvment in that honestly guys its one thing il step aside and watch from the side, it hasn't helped me knowing. mikey, nah im not asking for help i still dont know what to do myself regarding my dir that is more penalised than another, throughout this year il just see if anything changes but i cant make an deliberate changes myself, im not concerned with pr, its not ranking for the domain and less indexed pages that i only want to improve. But il just give it time.
It just seems to me that if Google is already beating you up in the manner you suggest how could a reinclusion request make it worse? About the only thing it may do is help.

Or are you saying someone turned you in for "blackhat" tactics and got you banned at google? Hi Forest, wheres Jenny? DP is not a bad neighborhood, i dont use blackhat tactics, ive never looked into using them., im not banned at google, banning/penalisation are 2 different things. Im registered at webmaster tools.
Another tactic to getting pages cached by the search engines is to essentially sculpt your script by using nofollow links in non-content areas, like add URL pages, search results, etc. By doing this you are making your directory more efficient to for the search engines to crawl.
They are getting index Stoner, I checked them out, he's calling them from a DC that has less links indexed. He was also possibly doing site: domain.com which would show less that site:domain.com without a space between : which shows a higher index.
