    Submit it to major social sites like digg, propeller, etc.

    http://www.socialmarker.com/ is a good semi-automatic service to do that. Google usually will pick it within few hours.

    Also, ping it on pingomatic and pingoat.

    I recommend you get a domain if you want a reputable blog.

    Submit the rss feed of your blog to google through google webmaster tools. Your blog will be indexed in no time. :)

    Google will love to see an xml sitemap that you can submit through the webmaster tools. And you can upgrade it as many times as you please for a faster index.
