    Backlinks is really important... i wouldn't buy traffic (not worth it in the long run)... try white hat SEO tactics.... post your articles on social networking sites... buy blog posts on websites (cheap and effective way of generating traffic) banknerd.ca has such a program available.

    1) SEO
    2) PPC
    3) Social Media

    depends which one you want to adopt.... i will suggest to go for SEO,, and decide some good keywords for your website and then start working on it. if you do not know much about SEO ,, you can explore you will get details how to do it
