I think you are on the right track with your on-page stuff. There are a few pages that can use some development. You have a well indexed site, original content, that's all good. I think your biggest pit fall is actually the off-page that you said you did not want to talk about...

break it to pieces and split it in every page!!
But india tourism returns 47,900,000 results in google. Its huge and ofcorse youl need 1000s of backlinks
