You can use a paid ad. Facebook offers PPC advertising.

this is all waste...you should buy fan pages directly,
i have 3 fan pages one has 2k fans other has 4k fans and the third one is the biggest which has 100k fans. if you need just PM me.

Why would you buy a fan page? What good is a page with 2k fans, if those 2k fans don't know you? The whole idea of social media marketing is to promote yourself. How is this effective at all?

Agree with eddie. If you want to sustain growth, you can't rely on buying fans.
That said, ads can be very costly too. Best IMHO is to target people who will be *really* interested by the content you put on the page. Your friends might not be the right target. If you give us more context, maybe we can help.

Also, there should be an option for you to use facebook as your fan page instead of your usual profile. Click this and visit similar pages and post relevant comments-DO NOT SPAM OFFERS OR YOUR OWN PAGE!!!! In fact, don't mention anything about your page-just join in whatever relevant conversations you find. People who visit these pages will see your comments as not being from you, but from your fan page. By making quality posts, people will be interested in what you have to say(or may just find the name+pic of your fan page interesting) and check out your page, and hopefully 'Like' it.

Also I'm curious, how many friends do you have? how did you invite them? did you talk about the page to them? Are they in some of them in your target audience?

Or ... rethink your content. Depends on your goals ... if you need a handful fans but not necessarily millions, then go for that. If not, you need to find a more sustainable way to grow, and usually this depend on the content you have on your page.

If you are paying people for Likes-you are doing it wrong. Doesnt work and goes against everything that FB is about. Increase your content, improve its quality, and participate on other pages. Id rather have 10 people Like my page because they truly desire what I have to offer in terms of a connection that 10,000 people who Like my page because they are getting paid to. These paid 'Likes' are worthless to you as a marketer- AVOID THEM

Tell all your friends and share it on similar pages. Pay for some cheap advertising on some websites. Exchange website hits if you want and some of the surfers may be interested in your fan page. Just keep promoting it and don't give up if traffic doesn't come at first. Good luck with getting likes.

Likes exchange sites are a great way to have likes. But a lot of them offer points and even money for likes and this goes against FB policies as they shouldn't make incentives for users to like another page/link than what they own.

there are three basic steps to increase your fanpage are:
    • Increase profile picture size
    • insert profile images at top
    • Add welcome page by using static HTML
