I own a gaming website and want to have more email subscribers. I have a free gift when people subscribe but people still arent subscribing. Can you give me some tips? If you want, you can check out my gaming site (second link in my sig) and give me some pointers on how I can increase signups. Thanks!
Well I average over 100 views a day. It isnt really set in stone. And how do I check the percentage of traffic that actually signs up?
Hey kytro360, how do pple normally find out about your site? Depending on how many subscribers you already have, have you tried a referral reward system instead? You could try offering the gift to subscribers who refer their friends to your site...this could possibly work better cos you'd be utilising viral marketing by getting pple to spread the word about your site. Just my 2 cents worth
Try promoting your site through Facebook & Twitter. These two sites can bring in tons of traffic if your campaign goes viral. Regards,
Tell visitors what's in it for them when they signup. Right now your signup copy lists features (Adrenaline Gaming checklist, daily updates), but it doesn't communicate how they'll benefit from joining. Try something like... "Now get instant access to my highly-coveted Adrenaline Gaming checklist. In it, you'll discover [BENEFIT] and [BENEFIT]. Plus - You'll also get Game Adrenaline updates, so you're the first to know about new game releases, incredible game deals & more. Simply type-in your email address below right now to get instant access to the Adrenaline Gaming checklist & more..." I also suggest changing the text of your subscribe button to "Free Instant Access >>"
I checked your site and i could not able to find your offer, just highlight your offers on top , only then people opt for that and you will get returning visitors all the time .
Start posting in game forums and link your site in your signature. You might even offer to pay an active member to include your link in his sig file.
I would agree with posting "benefits". Getting a checklist doesn't sound all that enticing. What's the benefit of getting a checklist? Why must I have a checklist? You could also run a different offer and split test it.... Hope this helps.
Is this a newsletter you send out regularly? Then post a previous issue so people know what the are getting.
