    If you are going down the route of NOT doing any "on page" or external SEO then its comes down to content and always updating the site

    Add your blog to special blog directories (blogflux, blogcatalog, myblog2u, topofblogs), search for places that accept feed submissions... and as colleagues mentioned: content, content, content :)
