How can I improve this minisite?

I wrote an ebook titled Create Killer Ebooks & Sales Copy.

I tried to make my minisite "different," but I'm worried that it may be too "different" to be effective.

Before I pull it all apart and start from scratch, I'm hoping to get your opinion about the site. Is the copy interesting? Do you like the ebook cover? What about the site layout? Etc.

One thing that has me considering changing things is my boyfriend's comment. He doesn't like the word "killer" in the book title.

He isn't an Internet person, so I'm not sure how much to take his word.

killer matches the image of the lady with the gun
so i think it is ok

couple of things though

the image of the book it looks to square
it looks more like a box you receive software in
maybe make it thinner and taller
maybe add teh title down the spine like a real book

also the big purple bar down the left side
you only have the title in the side bar and the rest is blank
i would move the title to the top of the page and make the
making the context text area wider

You're the third person who's said that big blue band down the left needs to be changed. So your opinion makes it official. I'll fix this on the weekend.

I also appreciate that you feel the cover image and title are both okay. That's been a concern I had, too.

If you think of anything else, please let me know.

 

The layout is kool. but on left side, there's a big empty space in royal blue, not bad though, but try to reduce the width.

It's funny how hard it is to see for yourself what you've put together. That big blue band down the left is not winning any awards.

I received an offer here from a designer to redo both the e-cover and minisite. I will probably let him and see what happens.

 

Site needs to be improved on loading time.

 

Thanks, Sharer. I'm not sure exactly what I should do to improve loading time. I don't think I have that many images on there.

I'll have to investigate what I can do to resolve that. But if you see this message, feel free to give me any insight/thoughts you have to improve this.
