I really need help from the DP experts, so thanks for taking the time to read this message. I wrote an ebook called Create Killer Ebook & Sales Copy. I've set up my minisite to sell it, but I need opinions about how it 'feels' being in there. I'm looking for feedback on any and everything there... Do you like the copy, the ebook cover, the layout -- anything?! I'm thinking of completely overhauling everything I've done. But before I do something rash, I hope to learn from you what is worth keeping vs. what definitely needs changing. I tried to be "different," but I'm worried it's a little too different to actually be effective. Thanks!!
Just a thought... Center the main copy column. I found it a little jarring that the copy I was reading was off center to the right. The copy's not bad so that may make a difference. I realize you were trying to be different, but the fact is: in direct marketing, the tried and true is always best because it's proven to convert. You may not want to look like the hundreds of salesletters out there, but they tend to work.
John, you are AWESOME! Your feedback is extremely helpful. I'll pick another template this weekend. Hope you can check this thread in a few days to click back and see your suggestion in effect. Happy Friday, Viqi
PS I received an offer from a designer here to redo both the e-cover and minisite. I will probably explore both options.
Hi! At first you should get a good domain. That will SKYROCKET your SE rankings, if you have good keywords in that domain(like createyourownebook.com, hottocreateebooks.com, killerebooks.com etc etc). The domain lenght is not that important, because it will be a seo domain and you won't receive a lot of type-in traffic anyways. Yes, and seek another more classic template. Also I would suggest making your testimonials stand out- make them framed in with different background, perhaps with diffreent font (like courier new) Also consider creating a LARGE donwload now button to make that call to action stand out. It is good to have download link many times in your copy. And consider redesigning the pack image. I can do it for free if you send me the main image(takes 5 minutes with the right software and looks AWSOME) Give me a pm if you are interested. I am creating sales letter for my new and awsome project, so I have learned some good stuff while doing it. Chris
