    Your blog would look much nicer with a nice web 2.0 glossy styled logo design instead of just plain text. You can place it again below the logo to keep the seo properties.

    Three things
    1) i think it too congested
    2) ads too are not related with the content
    3) will look nice wid a orage or green theme
