Please provide some feedback on how I can improve the layout / design of this home page to make it more user friendly. Here is the website, San Diego Real Estate Thanks
1) I find the zip code box of numbers very distracting. Maybe a pull-down list could hide all of it. 2) The boxes in the content area seem all out of alignment. Looks like a box resizing and rearrangement will do the trick. 3) I think the "real estate by price" should be above the "search for homes in San Diego". Just my opinion but I hope it helps
Your site is not giving professional look. Every thing is messing with each other. Font color and font style is also not appropriate, especially font style.
What font styles would you suggest using? I am looking for little changes to make because I think it's some small details that need to be improved.
lose the zip codes its too packed and confusing people will be turned off by the many numbers they will have to browse over... the fonts and colors are all over the place the bottom part of the website looks like something different from the top. the logo needs to be redesigned or presented in a more professional manner it does not give away a confident impression about the company as it should. try uniforming the fonts a little and the font colors so it looks like one whole page and not 2-3 pages pasted together. just my opinion...
The zip code box was distracting. I would change it to a drop down menu of some sort. I'm not exactly a fan of the font and color. I think you shouldn't use orange as a font color. Not that attractive. The site itself looks like it's all bundled up together.
Does anyone want to provide a simple design change screen shot? Just simple small changes like fonts, lining up the boxes, moving the zip codes to a drop down box. Would anyone be willing to do this? Thanks, Alex
I actually get a headache and eye strain when I set my eyes on the site. Too many words and figures jostling for attention. By using dropdown menus, you don't really need to have so much text and numbers at the bottom half of the site. Create a minimalistic but functional look. And yes, do make sure that the fonts and sizes are uniform and try to avoid using "bold" for a whole paragraph.
Try to get come consistency to the fonts and colors. Also the zip codes listed in a box is not a good idea. Put them to pull-down menu as someone already said
great site but you are why not just make it a general real estate site instead of Diego .. just my 2 cents
You need a lot of CSS stuff done with your site. To make it more user friendly, you should consider making the search functionality tweaked. Like, have all the search criteria like budget, area, size etc as drop down menus and this way the search function can be used great by the users and you can avoid having a lot of messing stuff listed in the page. Maybe, having the most recent and attractive offer running as flash news will impress the visitors. If you can recognize the location of the visitor and flash an offer on their area, they are definitely going to love it. Just few thoughts, i have not great knowledge on that domain.
