If you want to get a decent CTR and not one click per year then you must work with the large rectangles. They attract a lot more attention and look less like banners as long as they are not showing an image. Replace them on your website and I am almost 100 percent certain that your CTR will improve by 1-2 percent.
WOW....thanks all comment! I will take more action base on all suggestions. BTW, I got double C-T-R in the last 2 days. I just change my adsense to have the same background color. that's it. It is so COOL!
Concentrate on better placement of the ads that the only thing i think you are not doing right. You should be making good money with that kind of traffic.
Now my ads placement is at the center top. What would you recommend it to be? Should I integrate within content with rectangular box, you mean that? Sorry that I have many questions but I just want to do it right Thanks for comment.
When I was testing Adsense placement a few years back and still do a bit of placement testing I found that two large rectangles side by side above the fold worked real well for CTR. It looks ugly but did improve conversion significantly over the banner placement above the fold. I stress above the fold because this is where my highest conversions were. It would be nice for someone to report back any significant improvement if they use this technique.
