Social bookmarking sites and good ol' SEO.

Mod your BANS store and add some unique content so that Google doesn't just see another affiliate store.

eBay prohibits PPC ads, since when?

As long as your PPC is not pointing to eBay site directly you are good.

    Hello

eBay prohibits PPC ads directly to a auction listing on eBay.. not a landing page or website, like BANS store front.

I'm having good luck with some of my sites with Adwords (making double what I put in, on average). It depends on the niche.

I'd suggest writing an article about getting started in whatever niche you're using, and make it the front page of the site. Include links to different category pages in the store, then Stumble it, and see what happens.

I've gotten thousands of uniques in this way. Great way to launch a new BANS site.

How much Adwords money do you spent and how much of the Adwords brings in revenue?

In general I'm paying for 20-40 clicks per day through adwords (per site), at about 10-15 cents/click. In October so far, I've made $650, and spent about $150.

I still can't figure out a way to track what sales come from adwords, and what comes from the other traffic I get, though, since I would need to set up some way to tell BANS to change the SID's when the visitor came from Adwords, and that's slightly beyond my PHP skills.

I also USED TO do PPC to my bans sites. Not any more, even though I was bringin in 2 times what I spent. I just didn't like getting the bill every month from google! That sucks! I like free visitors a whole bunch more!

Pick a good niche, DO SOME KEYWORD RESEARCH, and SEO and you will get organic visitors. Also customize your BANS site some.

I purchased a doamin on sunday (today is wednesday), had the site complete monday night, and I am already getting organic a few visitors for long tail keywords. If you don't believe me, click the photobucket link. I blacked out the keywords for obvious reasons.

20 organic visitors in less than 2 days for a brand new site... not bad! although google does give new site a temporary boost I hear. so who knows if this will keep up...

I use google's keyword tool, inventory.overture.com, and wordtracker to decide if a niche is worth looking into. If it is, I buy a domain with keywords in it and set up a BANS site with THE KEYWORDS AS THE PAGE TITLES! Use that title as the search query on the store set up page. If there are no results returned, can it and move on to the next one.

YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE INVESTING TIME AND MONEY INTO THE SITE! It is amazing how many people will throw up a site with ebay motors or electronics or whatever, and expect it to magically attract visitors.

    my 2 cents ;)

Yeah! Charge it to your credit card with Paypal. By the time you get your monthly statement and have to pay your bill you will probably have received your paycheck. That's what I did anyway.

Had I waited the week till I got paid I would have been out about $40 that has already been made on my BANS site.

a bans store is no different to any other web page. put it right in front of the </body> tag at the bottom of the page. in your admin panel from templates just edit the footer and stick it in.

Apologies for ignorance... Put the code at the bottom of the template that I selected? If this is the case, it is not in admin. Code needs to go into admin as well?
