but it can still add some small amount of value and visibility if you run an ecommerce shop, regardless of it's quality as a google product
It's one of the best, actually. Free to use and it give very good revenue. So that's like infinite ROI. So yes, all you have to do is sign up, upload a feed (automatically like I do or manually) and you're in. All of that is explained clearly on the site so I'd start reading if I were you.
I think sometimes when feeds don't get listed, people get put off. But its worth the effort in my opinion, and like others have noted, if you setup an automated feed, it really is 'set and forget'.
I think Froogle has a good potential for improvement. But can it beat the eBay, does somebody have an opnion?
Hiops: it's way different from ebay. with froogle you can more easily compare like products. It's possible in fact to have your ebay store listed on froogle.
Look at it this way, it is free.....it's a harmless way trying marketing. If people actually put as much research into froggle as they do to SEO, things will be better James
Google recently turned down our request to provide then with a datafeed.... Is there anyway we can do an "end-run" around this and get our products picked up and included anyway? Is there a special format frooglebot looks for (assuming that there is a "frooglebot")? I think I read somewhere that the product information can also some in from adwords... would there be away to use adwords to sneak in? I'm not trying to be deceptive, but I was just wondering... I don't want to be shut out from this, as I'm afraid it's going to be a significant factor in the months to come. Any advice would be appreciated.
