How can I get this page unbanned by Google?

I sold one link on a page in my site, and it seems that Google banned me (this page). I lost my PR on the page and the bar is now grey, though it is still indexed by google and the remainder of my site kept its PR. I believe that I received a penalty because of this. I have made the link in question nofollow and removed the part that says sponsored links. I have also made the link more visible. How do I ask Google to unban the page?

do a cleanup of your page and then submit your pages again for reconsideration

Scrub the page, create a new file name, add it to your sitemap, and 301 the old page to the new. However, I have heard of G holding 18month grudges against sites/pages. It depends on how badly you've affected their trust factor.

You should remove all sponsored links and "bad" content.
After that just keep working on your site, building backlinks and publishing fresh content.
It will takes some time though... maybe a few months.

my directory lost all its pr for no reason, I assume this was because it was a paid/recipricol directory, I will probably get rid of it if I cant get it to adapt

You're already know selling links will let your page banned from G, although you did.
The best way is to create a duplicate page and remove the older one, and do 301 for it.

Why do you think you got banned?

Anyway, to be on the safe side, always use no follow tag with paid links.

Remove the links you have sold or add a nofollow tag, then request a re inclusion in Google.

You made a huge mistake by putting "sponsored links" on your web page this makes it easier for google detect paid links. In google webmaster tools you should do a request re inclusion, if you do not have an account in google webmaster tools you should create one.

Let's see here, uh, Google has "sponsored links" all over its search engine. I don't see why a few sponsored links should cause Google to discriminate against a page. If that is the case, then Google is getting carried away. I would post this question on the Google webmaster forums so you can get an answer from someone who actually knows that they are talking about. Many of the "answers" given here smell of speculation. If you're going to make a statement about why Google is doing something, then please also post how you know it to be true. Oops! But if you can't do that, then you wouldn't have the opportunity to post just to get exposure to the link in your sig!
