I'll say it is possible if you work extremely hard, then you could get your site from pr0 to pr 2 when google update the PR next time, and get it from 2 to 4 in the next round. But it requires lots of hard work in providing large amount of quality content on your site, promote it constantly via social networking and social bookmarking, submit to various relevant directories and article submission sites, build backlink via posting hundreds of thousand good comments onto relevant dofollow sites with PR and forums. Besides, you also need to make investment in buying blogroll links in home page of high PR site with low OBL. And they could be very expensive. To sum up, it is possible, but need devoted work and money.
I have never really understood why people want a high PR website, it is far better to be getting traffic to your site and be high in Google rather than having a PR6 homepage. Granted, this does give you an indication of how Google rates a site, but does the Alexa ranking match up and does the site convert? Conversion for any site is the most important, for profit or not.
I own 28 websites. 1 of them is a pr 3. 4 are pr 2. 3 are pr 1 and the rest is pr 0. Directory submittion (with backlinking) works the best if you aks me.
*shrug* Eh, like I said we're doing well as just a 0. It's not like I ever intend to sell links or anything so PR would only matter to me as some indicator that Google's cool with my site. What matters to me is how well we rank in SERPs.
Yes its possible, one of my websites got to PR4 on its first update. After that it went to PR3 for a few months back to PR4 and 4 years later it's still PR4. Getting the website to PR5 plus is the hard bit.
There is not any exact tricks to get PR I hve a website of PR5 but I haven't hard work to get simply make some links on related website and some onpage optimization. I think link building is best option to increase PR
We managed to get to PR3 within one PR update after we started linkbuilding, so it's possible... now we're stuck there.
You cannot achieve this alone by simply posting in DP and getting tips You need to hire some SEO experts go for SB and DIR Submissions services and get more backlinks
It can be done. I created my website in January of this year and it has a PR of 4. The brand new new domain name was purchased on Jan 1, 2010 and the website was created in February 2010. Simple two page website. Here are the statistics of Links from Market Samurai on my website; Back Links to main page = 36. Domain Back Links = 40. One page is indexed in Google. No PPC, no articles, no black hat tricks. Just some blog commenting on high page ranking sites that link back. I do the same for my business clients. Increasing PR quickly can be done. High PR doesn't mean much if you get no traffic though. PR doesn't increase my client's revenue. Targeted increased traffic does increase their revenue. So article marketing, video etc. are all part of the package. You can get a PR of 4 fairly quickly - but does PR alone make you more money?
How can i check PR for my blog http://www.free4uuuu.blogspot.com . I am new in blogging and dont know much about all these things. Anyway i am trying to build links now. Do we hav to submit blog to google to get page rank?
i use 'webrank' toolbar for firefox.. can see how many pages indexed how many links for google yahoo and bing... and pagerank
Yes you can try getting quality backlinks and your website will get decent pr at the next google update.
You have around 30 outbound links on main page meaning that for a PR 4 on homepage you need to get hundreds of high authority backlinks ... Its very hard but if you have the budget....
