How can I get my website on another persons mailing list?

    Hello!

Hopefully the title is descriptive. I'm curious about getting a website (not physical product) advertised on another persons mailing list (with at least 5,000 people on it). I would only expect a small ad with image on the mailing list.

I'd just like some information on it, but if you do have a mailing list and you're happy to fill an ad spot, I could a.) pay or b.) do graphic design work (samples can be provided).

    Thank you :)

I think you need to contact the owner of this mailing list, and ask him what does he want for adding your banner to his list.

You need to negotiaite with a list owner. There are loads who sell email shots to their lists, you can find them on a large marketing forum I probably cant mention here. Just search Google for "solo ads", that's what it's called.

This is also a good method of advertisement!

Find those marketers with mailing list and request if they accept you...

Forums are also good place, post your requirement in appropriate category, might be some marketers may be looking for you as well.

    There are a few options:
    - solo ads (http://www.soloaddirectory.com)
    - click agent solos (http://www.gbleadsystems.com/dais/sites/185/index.php?refid=206122)
    - solo ad list brokers (http://thehomebusinessagency.com)
    - free solo ads (not so free as you have to pay a monthly fee - you can do a search in google)
    Hope it helps :)

Thanks Art! The links are helpful.

I was hoping to find a mailing list with 50K subs where I could get a cheeky link & image in, but the prices would probably be quite steep.

You could also try General Interest Lists:
    - arcamax.com
    - townhall.com
    - newsmax.com
They are quite expensive and you'd really have to work on a good copy but they can bring you Massive Traffic!
