How can I get more traffic?

I'm currently receiving a nice amount of traffic for my movies website from various sources including social bookmarking, forum posting, search engines and yahoo answers. But obviously, I want more! Is there anything I've missed? Any suggestions?

 

From your post it’s clear that you’re using free methods to increase traffic and you managed a nice amount of traffic from these. Very good to hear that . Now go for paid marketing methods. Keep trying both, ‘free’ and ‘paid’.

 

If its a new site you basically just need to keep on doing what you are doing. Unfortunately there are no short term fixes, its just a case of regular link building to boost your SE rankings. You could try article distribution. As its a movie site you may also be able to use YouTube in some way, although i have no experience of this so maybe others can point you in the right direction o this.

 

thats really good that you are getting nice traffic in fair way... i think it is not listed in your list... try to give regular comments on popular blog... i am sure if people will like your comments you will get good amount of traffic.

I know of a method using YouTube that doesn't involve creating or uploading any videos at all.

 

Writing articles and submitting them to Ezinearticles.com, commenting on related blogs to yours, using forums, learn blog marketing tactics.There are lots of things you can do to increase your traffic.These are long term techniques that works.

You can buy adword ads to get more exposure and thus increase your traffic.
Other than that,you can do some blog commenting and link exchange with related niche site.

 

www.AddAnImage.com has a films section - plus you could post into the male/female celebrity section using any pictures you have on your site.

Post as many times as you like as often as you like! ...as long as the images are unique

How about guest blog posts... have you tried that? Try to get someone to let you post on their blog (one that has lots of traffic) and let a guest post on yours.

 

I'm going for the commenting on blogs right now, I'm looking for high PR blogs and when I find one or two I think I'll stick to them and try to build up some kind of a reputation online then maybe approach the owner of the Blog after I've got some credibility and try to get real links on the blog. Of course ensuring that these blogs are do follow blogs ... It's a great way to build up my back links

I know how bland that sounds, but try offering something that other movies sites aren't. (Awesome reviews, widgets, background, screensavers, etc.)

comment through other people blog also can bring you some traffics.
Use a catchy name to post a blog comment.
People tends to click on it.
