How can I get more traffic to my Classified website?

    I have steady traffic but I need more, where can I get traffic for for my classifieds?

    There are many good ways to get more traffic to your website and it doesn't always have to be paid traffic. You can get good quality traffic for free. There's an article here that gives 45 ways that you can get more traffic to your website, build backlinks, etc.

    I would also add:

    46. Give away free products or services for a period of time
    47. Offer shops free listings on your classifieds to get things started (listings will show activity and give a reason for people to visit and list their own or buy something)

    If it was me I would determine the keywords that the ad posters using to find your site now and then begin optimizing / targeting for them.

    You may also want to consider using PPC.

    You might also try a cloaked domain that is targeted for keyphrases you want. We have a great deal of success doing that and you just cannot beat targeted traffic from organic search. You can view more info at realambition dot com. (i cannot post a link yet).

    Try posting a Stumble thread, and see what happens. Aka, you say, "Stumble my site please" and you get tons of uniques.

    The only problem with that kind of traffic is that it usually doesn't result in new ads.

    Ok heres the thing, if you want traffic you can't have a classified website.
    A secret website = secret, therefore no hits... so dont make it classified, release it as a public site.
