Hi all, I have a site that I tried applying to a couple of months back. My site got rejected because it had gambling-related content. However, I came across a site that had EVERYTHING gambling-related, including links to gambling related sites (sportsbooks), yet this site had AdSense running. I'm not sure why Google allows gambling sites to be on the AdWords network, but doens't allow gambling related sites to have AdSense ad's. Is there anyway to get in? Btw, my site involves no actual gambing at all. IT can even be looked at as a "sports fan" site. Its a online sports community offering handicapping monitoring, contests, football squares, and advice. People join my contests for fun and real money is never actually used. They also play football squares to win free prizes....this again involves no gambling and is not really gambling related since theres no actual gamble! Why did they reject my site? Is there anyway I can still get in? www.bettorsave.com is my site address. Thanks, Bobby
Google owns blogspot.com Make yourself an account there and make a few blog posts and resubmit using that URL.
thanks for the tip. I'll try doing so. So, once I get a AdSense account, use the code onto my actual site? Would this be violating TOS? Is this how the site that was totally gambling related had AdSense running on it? Thanks
Your probably got declined because your home page shows numbers with $ signs which makes it look like a gambling site.
Ahh, these are just the money prizes that people can win for free...no gamble at all either Thanks for taking your time to check, Bobby
That's an ongoing problem with Adsense publishers. They get an Adsense account with an innocent (within the rules) site, and then they slap their ads on all their other sites regardless of TOS violations or not. It takes time for Adsense to uncover their violation, if ever.
