    Pagerank is calculated through backlinks. So get more backlinks. With pr backlinks is better.

    build content with good keywords and get backlinks in sites with keywords relevant to you.
    google will evaluate backlinks from sites relevant to you and you can come up quickly if backlinks are from high PR sites relevant to you.

    High pagerank is not the same with good search ranking . Try overlook PR , concentrate to build links with relevant and good content.

    its not easy to become king of a empire for this you have to do lot of hard work and your good efforts , so think this also for your site - try to write good content , leave good comments on blogs that are related to your site and also try do social bookmarking , by this you will get backlinks and also some trarffic from that sites and also from search engines ,one day by doing hard work you will suceed in your business

    Most of the webmasters will only reciprocate if your site have pr also. Try to use 3-way link exchange if your site is newly launched.
