Comments from guest are not really necessary. You have to concentrate on promoting git. Getting good quality backlinks that's what you need to do.
get your blog into technorati It will not promise bring your comments, but will bring spams for sure.
To get comments, you have to write good articles which can be commented (not simply "OK", "Thanks", etc...). You can also turn off the nofollow.
