Exactly, that is what most people do This is correct But I have 1 thing to tell you, Dont try to get backlinks too fast, its not good with search engines.
forum signature work best if you want it fast.. but it is useless for you if you got too much quick Because Google does not regularly update its Backlink Database.. Google has a time and it will do when the time come
Actually, that is only a problem in niches with a lot of competing sites. Do make sure the quality of the links is upstanding though. Preferably on topic, on related sites. New sites do have a risk-factor going: a lot of low quality links isn't going to help a site get trust.
A few high PR reliable link will do more good than a lot of low PR automated link-exchange BS. Believe me, it's not about the quantity anymore, unless you have astrological number of back links.
Are you talking about whitehat or blackhat methods? Blackhat will get you links the quickest from what I read in other forums
Don't try to get too many links in a short time. It would look unnatural for the search engines. Also they should come from theme related websites.
1.Article, directory, social bookmarking.... nothing new 2. On the internet you can find tons of sites which offers free links. Check my sig for example.
You could try out, http://www.theseokit.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=4 it works really well!!
You can write little programs and give them away from shareware site. There are literally hundreds of shareware sites that you can automatically register with for free and they generally have good page ranks. If the program is good enough they will display it and give you a link back. Alternately you can re-brand some website CMS programs that let people create websites for free, like blogging but building proper websites. Each site created with the free version has a back link to your site and you earn commission if they upgrade to the full program.
Keep posting in relevant blogs. Might want to try digg as well. Just develop good content and let the links grow organically. My 2 cents.
I see you've been banned. That's unfortunate. It's actually a good idea to build links gradually. The best way to do this is to put up a customized link directory on your website that automatically approves webmaster links into your directory for you.
